CCARA Shack

Our arrangement with Caesar Creek Flea Market has ended.  With that, the Shack is being emptied and will no longer be used for CCARA operations.  We still have all the parts, masts, equipment, and other things available to members.

We are looking at other options for a shack location. We are excited about a couple of ideas, shipping container and making it into a shack, fixing up a camper trailer for radio use, or find an existing location that we can use.  This opens a few more options for us, solar panels, permanent masts/towers, a vertical antenna, and more “weather secure (Bomb shelter would be cool😊)” options.

Just a reminder, no club monies were used to fix or equip the Shack.  Wherever the new location is, will be the same.  I would like to thank all who donated time, money, and a lot of sweat.

We are also looking for a new location for the CCARA weather station.  The weather station needs WIFI and power (Hub runs off USB connection) and a clear area for accurate readings, so if you have any ideas, please let us know.
