Hamvention

DARA hamvention in Xenia is coming up in less than a week. I hope you all have had the opportunity to go in the past and again this year CCARA is sharing a space with HARA. K8IO (Me) will be providing the trailer to haul equipment for anyone wanting to sell. And if you wish to drop off equipment to sell either at a drop off site or at the table at hamvention, here are the ground rules. Please make sure you identify each item and provide a list of asking price, lowest price you will accept, and a phone number we can reach you at if there are any questions. Also, if you are selling, it would be greatly appreciated that you spend some time at the booth manning it. I know a lot of our members this year are actively involved working at the hamvention, including myself. HARA currently has a list of people or about 9 people helping. I know a lot of people just like to drift in and out and that’s fine but usually in the early part of the day and the evening is when help is needed to cover equipment and or store the expensive items back into the trailer. And Terry Kerr, I know it will be there and has volunteered to help.

I will have the trailer available to load at my location at 129 Worthington Rd. noon on Tuesday the 16th if you wish to drop equipment off to be carried over in the trailer. And if you can’t make it at that time, let me know and we can possibly make other arrangements. I realize some people work just remember I need the information requested above on your items. The next day, the 17th at noon, the trailer will be at the Levo farm on Levo Road just outside of new Vienna for HARA loading. As it’s looking, I will not be there, most likely but the trailer will be. And folks will be there for loading.
The trailer will be delivered to the green county fairgrounds the following morning of the 18th and placed in position. There may be presetting of tables and tents as time permits.

I have been thrown a curveball in that some medical issues have come up that require my attention.
