Amateur Radio Emergency Services

ARES is a group of trained amateur radio operators that can respond in times of an emergency.

If you are interested and want to know more, please go to the Ohio Section web page and click on ARES.

ARRL ARES site:

The ARRL has setup a new site for those who wish to join ARES. This site is called "ARES Connect"

You can register for an account, please use your call sign as the NAME. Once you have registered, ARES Connect will use your address

to place you in the correct county and thus get your information to the correct Emergency Coordinator. The EC should then get in touch with you

for ARES events in that county. Also, any EVENTS setup by the county EC will show up once you have an account. You may sign up for the EVENTS

in which you wish to participate. Once signed up for an EVENT, an email will be sent to you letting you know you have signed up for the EVENT. You will get another

email closer to the EVENT reminding you of the EVENT. For further information, contact your local EC.

ARES CONNECT site: https://arrl.volunteerhub.com/
